Social Media Intern
Canadawide Group is a well established, professional consulting firm operating across Canada and internationally. We provide a wide range of consulting and financing services to the small and medium-sized businesses in all sectors in Canada and abroad.
We are currently seeking candidates for the position of Social Media Intern. If you're passionate about technology, process-oriented and looking for a position where you can take initiative, this is the one for you.
Responsibilities
Selected intern will contribute across multiple areas, including:
Social Media and Content Creation
-
Creating and editing engaging online content—encompassing everything from 280-character tweets to engaging and relevant social media posts and campaigns on a daily/ weekly/ monthly basis for platforms such as LinkedIn, X (Twitter), YouTube, and Instagram

Create graphics, infographics, animations, and short-form videos
-
Increasing our online presence, heighten visibility, growing our brand awareness and engaging with our target audience to improve SEO, and conversion rates

Interact with our social media followers on a regular basis to foster online relationships and build client loyalty.
Communications Support

Support internal and external communications including marketing planning, scheduling, and performance tracking

Assist in producing communication materials such as fact sheets, Whitepapers, and product brochures
Website and Digital Asset Management

Update website content, including news and publications
-
Organize and manage digital assets such as photos and videos
Essential Skills
As our preferred candidate you will have:

Familiarity with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer)

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects)

Knowledge of tools such as Canva, Figma, and InDesign
-
Aptitude for creating and editing online content—everything from tweets to blog posts to campaigns

Post-secondary degree or enrollment in a post-secondary institution

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-
Ability to write clear and engaging social media content
-
Background in photography and graphic design skills is a bonus.

Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, articulate and creative.

A sense of urgency. Committed to do what it takes to get the job done.
Other Information

This 6-month internship could lead to a full-time position for the right person. Attractive compensation during the internship, depending on relevant work experience.
